Out with the old...

Greg and I are the masters of home improvement! We installed our very own....wait for it...KITCHEN FAUCET!! Let me back up a few months, our kitchen sink has given us nothing but problems since we moved in to our lovely home. The problems all started with the sprayer hose bursting free from the bottom of the faucet and unloading quarts of water under the sink (which ended up in the basement.) This activity occurred probably three times before Greg decided something drastic needed to be done. We went to Lowes and bought a little metal hose clamp thingy and tightened it onto the sprayer hose, thus resolving the problem (we thought.) The faucet then developed a nasty little leak. All day and all night the tap went drip, drip, drip. We googled "how to fix a leaky faucet" and watched some riveting you tube videos of do-it-yourself-ers fixing their leaks. Being new DIY-ers, we were unsuccessful at putting an end to our drip, drip, drip. Additionally, our delightful sprayer hose contracted diverticulitis. Every time we turned on the tap, the hose would fill up with water and balloon out to one side. We continued using the sprayer, why, because we like to! All of our little faucet annoyances came to a head last week in an EXPLOSION all over the counter top, back splash, window, floor, and of course me. Now, back to my exciting announcement... we installed our own brand new kitchen faucet. Check it out!

Nice! Can I just say that while that old faucet sure sounded like a bummer it was definitely way rad looking!

I know, we tried to find one that looked more like it but this was the closest we could get. We actually had a plumber come out to see if it could be fixed and they said it couldn't be. Oh well.
